We are currently seeking an experienced TAY and Adult Field Based Mental Health Services Therapist who is responsible for providing field based mental health services to Transitional Age Youth and Adults who mental health issues and are homeless or at risk of homeless and/or have substance use issues. Services consist of individual therapy, case coordination, teaming, and case management services. Therapist works collaboratively with other team members to assist in minimizing risk factors that lead to homelessness or at risk behaviors. Therapists perform services within the scope of their training and experience.
Provide field based individual and family therapy services to
clients with significant mental health and/or behavioral health issues.
Complete assessments and treatment plans for clients utilizing LA
County Department of Mental Health forms within an electronic health record.
Caseload size is determined based on the type of services
provided, location of services, and severity of cases.
Maintain timely and detailed clinical records of all client
interactions, and other required documentation, which conforms to standards of
best practice, and Department of Mental Health guidelines
Participate in weekly staff meetings and case reviews as necessary
Maintain appropriate registration/licensure with the State of
California's Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS), including completion of state
required continuing education credits, hours of supervision, and other
procedures required by the relevant board;

Required: MFT, MSW or clinical psychology license or waiver, with
one year of experience providing mental health services to TAY and /or adults
and their families;
Knowledge regarding child development, social work, DMH systems,
and other related fields desirable;
Must have valid California driver's license and the availability
of a car with adequate insurance.
Knowledge of Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health’s
Rehab Option model of service provision and documentation requirements
Must be able to pass
California State Department of Justice criminal background investigation, Live
Scan and/or fingerprinting.
MFT, MSW or clinical psychology license or waiver, with one year of experience providing mental health services to TAY and /or adults and their families
SPECIAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Good oral and written communication skills;
Preferred but not required: English/Spanish fluent in both verbal
and written communication;
Must have computer skills and literacy required to use the agency
electronic health record. Staff must be able to logon, type, use a mouse and
negotiate through various screens or windows to complete daily chart
